Wrong Again

Thanks for everyone who watched the show on Friday night!  We felt good about it, although I hate hearing myself on the air and my voice annoys me.  But other than that, it was fun to sit and chat :)  Now that we have a lot of the kinks worked out we can start working on stuff to further advance the show.  We have a phone number for call in's, but we need to do some testing before we can get it up.  We also want to try to get some prizes involved, because everyone loves prizes!  :)
So if you listened to the show, you heard me and tail getting in to it about buying in bulk.  Tail said it's a scam and that you end up paying more than you would have, had you just bought the items not in bulk.  I obviously thought that was ridiculous and bad business.  In the end, I won the fight (because it just does not make logical sense, if you purchase in bulk, it's ALWAYS cheaper)  and now I just need to prove him wrong even more.

SO.....thanks to the interwebs I looked up some information from both Wal Mart and Samsclub.  I decided I needed some batteries.  Everyone buys batteries right?  I need them for my camera and I need a lot of them, so I went to Sams Club first:
Pretty good deal I thought.  36 double A batteries for $26.87.  That ends up being 75 cents a piece per battery.

Then I went and checked at Wal Mart.

Same batteries, they have 8 of them for $5.68.  Which ends up being 71 cents a piece.

So......what does that tell you?

I WAS WRONG.  THE BATTERIES ARE CHEAPER AT WAL MART IF YOU BUY THEM IN SMALLER PACKS.  SO WHY IN THE HELL ARE PEOPLE SHOPPING AT SAMSCLUB FOR BULK ITEMS?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Tuche' Tail....you won this round.  And people who shop for bulk items are being ripped off.

One Love,
Jamie
